Well there's a new Revit Blog in town, called Revit Clinic and the "doctor" is IN...

Where do you go when you have a physical problem?, A Doctor. Where do you go when you have a BIM problem? Well, I’m not a doctor, but I hope that you will start to come here. I will be focusing this blog on the Autodesk Revit platform of Products, Revit Architecture, Structure, and MEP and trying to prevent BIM problems and provide you rehab if they happen.

I have to admit, I won’t always know the answer to your problem. I am more of a generalist, like your family physician, but like a good generalist, I know who to send you to, so I may refer you to a specialists or I may even recommend another hospital (blog or web site). There will be others who contribute to this blog along the way. Think of them as the other doctors, radiologists, or therapists that can help provide you the care you need.

The goal of this blog is provide what a good clinic provides. I want to prevent problems from occurring, and provide rehab if they do. In case of emergency you can always break the glass and contact your Autodesk reseller or Autodesk Product Support, but the goal of this blog is to prevent those emergencies from occurring. Think of us as your neighborhood clinic, walk in, ask a question, and let us make you
well.

I'm hoping I wont need too many services of the Revit Clinic but its great to know its there...

Free (or Low Cost) Apps for Mac OSX

The best thing I ever did was switch from PC to Mac OSX which seems like eons ago now…   Since then, many other friends and relatives have also switched and have asked me for a list of my favourite free (or low cost) "tools" or "apps" for the Mac that will make their lives easier… This is what I've come up with so far (in no particular order)... All time favourite red wine...

For those who know me, it’s common knowledge that I love red wine - Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, alternatives like, Montepulciano, Tannat, Saperavi, Nebbiolo to name a few.   Do you have an all time favourite. Ok, I know that’s difficult for most red wine affectionados but I fell in love with this wine variety early 2000s. So what is it you ask??? Durif... those who know me will be well aware of this amazing wine.   This red wine grape from the Rhone Valley wasn’t highly regarded in its native France.   Durif is actually a cross between the noble grape Syrah and the less well-known Peloursin. It was created at the University of Montpellier in the 1880s by a gentleman named Dr. Durif - a nurseryman who was looking to develop a grape variety resistant to downy mildew, one of many scourges of the vine.
